Our Guide to Denver

We're so excited to have you in Denver for our wedding! Beyond the ceremony & reception, we want you to fall in love with this city – just as we have. From vibrant downtown districts to picturesque mountain escapes, this guide will lead you to our favorite things about the Mile High City.

Dining
Our favorite spots to eat around the city.

The Odyssey

This is our go-to restaurant for Italian Comfort Food. We recommend the Carbonara and the Pappardelle & Lamb. Ask to sit in Mario's section.

LaTinto Cafe & La Chiva

If you're in the mood for Colombian food, these sister restaurants are the best in Denver. Cafe Tinto is a really awesome brunch spot, with typical Colombian pastries. La Chiva is our go-to when we're craving empanadas.

Bars & Nightlife
Our favorite places to party and drink cocktails, by neighborhood.

Cherry Creek

Most of our guests will be staying around here. There are really great options for cocktails & bars. We recommend Boys & Girls Club (be sure to make a reservation), Forget Me Not, and Ay Papi. If you're looking for the ultimate dive bar, while not exactly in Cherry Creek, we recommend the P.S. Lounge – a cash-only timeless Denver classic.

The Highlands

A super hip, vibrant neighborhood in Denver, we love going to places like Williams & Graham (be sure to make a reservation), Happy Camper, and Linger (some of the best rooftop views of Denver).

RiNo & Downtown

Downtown Denver has Dairy Block with a ton of dining options, and a cool speakeasy called Run for the Roses. We frequent La Rumba for Saturday Night Salsa. RiNo has a ton of bars for late-night shenanigans like Larimer Lounge, Finn's Manor and The Woods.
Outdoors
April can be really warm or it can be really snowy. Depending on the weather, here are some outdoor activities we enjoy.

Skiing at Vail & Beaver Creek

Our favorite spot to ski is Vail, and April provides excellent late-season skiing, in warmer weather and with a Bavarian village vibe.

Beaver Creek has the best Aprés ski party at the Ritz Carlton Bacherlor Gulch. We highly recommend you make a ski vacation out of visiting Colorado this time of the year!

Boulder

Juan has so much love for Boulder, and highly recommends a visit. There are tons of hiking and biking trails, bars & restaurants, and of course the CU Campus.

The most classic and accessible trail to hike is Chautauqua. The best mountain biking trail is Heil Valley Ranch. The best gravel route is the climb up to Gold Hill Inn. Check the weather and dress warm! April is unpredictable.

Morrison

Super close to Denver, Morrison is home to the legendary Red Rocks amphitheater. At night, there are amazing shows. In the morning, people gather there to work out.

Close to Morrison, you'll also find awesome hiking trails including Matthews/Winters park, Mount Falcon Castle Trail, and Lair O' the Bear.

Colorado Springs

While we don't frequent Colorado Springs so much, we love going to Garden of the Gods. It's one of the most spectacular places in all of Colorado, and only 1.5 hours from Denver. Be sure to stop at the Outlets in Castle Rock on the way back!

Rocky Mountain National Park & Estes Park

The iconic Rocky Mountain National Park is 1.5 hours from Denver, where you'll see amazing snow-capped peaks, budding wild flowers, and beautiful wild life. This is a very family-friendly trip. Be sure to stop by Estes Park and the famous Stanley Hotel where the movie "The Shinning" was filmed.

Breckenridge Nordic Center

If you've ever wanted to try snowshoeing or cross-country skiing, Juan highly recommends visiting the Breck Nordic Center. With a spectacular lodge, ski and snowshoe rentals, and close proximity to the town of Breckenridge, this plan cater to adults of all ages and preferences.
Shopping
Our favorite places to find good deals.

Cherry Creek Mall

One of Colorado's nicest malls, Cherry Creek Mall has all the fancy luxury brands as well as big box stores.

Outlets – lots of outlets

We love a good finding a good value when it comes to shopping. There are 3 awesome outlets we recommend: The Outlets at Castle Rock, Denver Premium Outlets, and Outlets at Silverthorne.

Malls in South Denver

Since our reception is South, we recommend a few malls in case you forgot anything important: Park MeadowsColorado Mills.
